New students applying for admission into Year 8 and Year 9 for the August 2024 intake are eligible.

Not applicable for students applying for admission into English Foundation Programme (EFP) and Year 7.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Malaysian and international citizens who meet the admission requirements and are enrolled as full-time students at SISM for the August 2024 intake.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence and exceptional achievements in academics, sports, talent, or skills.
  • Participation in activities that create a positive impact on the community.
  • Applicants must not be recipients or under any sponsorship or financial aid from other organisations.

How to Apply

To apply for the SISM Genuine Learner Scholarship, you must first apply for admission to the Soka International School Malaysia (SISM).

Once you have completed the admission application form, you can submit it online via the admission portal at https://sism.openapply.com.

● Academic results for Years 2022/2023 and 2023/2024.
● Certificate of Outstanding Achievements (academic, sports, talent, or skills).
● Co-curricular activities report card, or any evidence of active participation in community activities.
● Recommendation Letter from the Principal / Class teacher OR Subject teacher

Essay/Personal Statement Submission

In no less than 300 words, express your dream and outline your plan to achieve it.

    • The essay should be submitted in softcopy format, either in Microsoft Word or PDF.
    • Please ensure the document is typed using a legible font, such as Arial or Calibri, with a font size of 12 points.
